The lightweight aluminium skid plate for the Derbi Senda platform (Derbi Senda, Aprilia SX/RX, Gilera SMT) is a heavy-duty engine protection upgrade designed to shield the lower engine and frame area from damage on both road and off-road riding. Whether it’s debris on public roads, loose gravel, curbs, or rough terrain, it adds a critical layer of protection to one of the most exposed parts of the bike.
Machined and formed from 100% aluminium, the plate is built for serious impact resistance. At 3mm thickness, it helps absorb and deflect hits from rocks, road debris, and hard landings, reducing the risk of cracked, chipped engine cases or other costly damage.
Precision cutouts provide secure frame mounting, keeping the skid plate tightly in place with no unwanted movement or vibration during riding. The design also maintains practical airflow and drainage clearances while still protecting the engine's key vulnerable areas.
